What is the collaborative coding feature?
Last updated: June 13, 2025
Collaboration on our platform works just like Google Drive. Instead of sharing individual files, you create a shared team folder—and everyone on the team gets instant, real-time access to every workspace inside.
This team-centric model means collaboration is always on. If you are a member of a team, you can see, open, and edit any workspace belonging to that team. There is no need to request access or wait for a share link.
How it works: The "Shared folder" model
Think of your Team as a shared folder and each Workspace as a document within it.
Invite Members to your team: To start collaborating, invite your colleagues to your Team. This is the one-time action that grants them access to the shared environment.
Access any workspace: Once someone is on the team, they can browse the "Workspaces" list and open any workspace, just as they would open any file in a shared Google Drive folder.
Collaborate in real-time: If multiple team members open the same workspace, they are immediately placed into a live collaborative session.
Live collaboration features
When you and your teammates are in the same workspace, you have access to a suite of tools designed for seamless teamwork:
Simultaneous editing: See multiple cursors in the same file and edit code together in real-time, just like in a Google Doc.
Shared terminal: The workspace terminal is fully synchronized. Any team member can run a command, and everyone else sees the same live output.
Live application preview: When you run your application, the preview is available to all collaborators in the session, allowing for instant testing and feedback.
